This series of alterations are proposed to re-furbish and up-grade an existing listed building which has clearly been very badly and insensitively damaged in the past. The details submitted are thorough, including a heritage Impact Assessment, but the local authority Conservation Officer clear feels that there are some items which are significant an in need of repair and retention.
PAPA Says - Listed buildings are difficult to alter, and you have to take the Conservation officer along with you with these proposals. There have been pre-application discussions, but more needed to agree a compromise, nothing can be taken for granted on Listed Buildings.
