Stunning Australian Houses | The Klein Bottle House

The Klein Bottle House, designed by Australian Architects Practice Mcbride Charles Ryan, was described by the architects as a descriptive model of a surface developed by topological mathematicians, actually won the Worlds best House Award in 2009 (albeit we are not sure how this could be actually judged worldwide!).

This is a great example of a very informed client giving the architect free-reign to design something truly inspiration, and the architect has taken the random geometry of the landscape and the site location on order to create a truly individual design, not a right-angle in sight. we would assume also that the budget had no real limit.

We would question the sharp angular nature of the design and how this blends visually with the soft landscape surroundings, but actually if you image a true rugged landscape, with jagged rocks bursting through rich green vegetation, this is a stunning addition.
